This website

No cookies, no ads. This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, shows no advertising and does not pass personal data on to third parties. Fonts, images and the film are served from the same server as the pages.

Server logs. Like any web server, the server that delivers these pages processes the technical data your browser sends with each request (IP address, time, requested address, browser identification) in order to deliver the pages and keep the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These log entries are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

No statistics. This website does not count or track visits.

The application

Your diagrams stay in your browser. The application at app.selkie.io keeps your open diagrams, their layout and your settings in your browser's local storage, on your device. Snapshot links carry the diagram inside the link itself; whoever you send such a link to can open the diagram.

Live sessions. Only when you start or join a live session is the shared diagram sent to the session server, together with the name you entered and your cursor and pointer positions, so the other people in the session can see them. The server keeps the shared diagram in memory while people are in the session and for six hours after the last one leaves. Anyone with the session link can open and edit the diagram, so share it like you would share a document.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise them, write to info@selkie.io. You can also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (www.dsb.gv.at).

Fonts

All fonts are served from our own server; no font service is contacted. They are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, see licenses.txt.
